Cheap Monday got their name because their merchandise was only available for purchase on Monday. Although, they have distribution in top boutiques, they have not forgotten the homemade feel. Their design is top-notch and received a nomination for the “Best Denim Design” from Elle magazine. The designer Orjan Andersson is from Sweden and is a denim addict. He created a buzz a while ago by launching a boutique “Weekends” and only opening it at that time. He started a cool and cheap original denim line which grew to become the Cheap Monday we now know. It was a revolt at that time where only high priced denim was considered cool. The denim with its tight design, brand name, and lower price became an instant hit.
